House rules
These rules are part of the rental agreement you sign when booking. Thank you for helping us keep the house and the neighborhood a great place to stay.
- Check-in / check-out
- Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM (Eastern), unless agreed in writing before arrival.
- Guests
- Up to 8 guests in total. Additional overnight visitors need the host's permission first. The person booking must be at least 25 and stay at the property.
- No parties or events
- This is a quiet neighborhood. Disturbances reported by neighbors or authorities may end the stay without refund.
- Quiet hours
- 10 PM to 7 AM.
- No smoking
- No smoking inside or within 10 feet of any door or window.
- No pets
- No pets unless agreed in writing in advance.
- Parking
- Up to 4 cars, in the driveway only — do not park on the public street. Never block the neighbor's shared driveway entrance.
- Dock
- The dock is down a wooded path behind the house; the path and steps are not regularly maintained and can be very slippery when wet — use extreme caution and hold small children's hands. The boat slip, boat, paddle boards and any other equipment at the dock are the host's and not for guest use; you may bring your own water toys at your own risk. Your own boat may be tied to the open side of the dock. Please keep a low wake near docks.
- Fireplace
- The stone fireplace in the living room is decorative and not for guest use. The outdoor fireplace on the covered porch may be used.
- Thermostat
- Please don't set the A/C below 69°F. On departure, set cooling to 85°F in summer or heat to 60°F in winter.
- Trash
- Bag and tie all trash and keep it in the lidded can. Staying Wednesday night? If you like, you can roll the carts to the curb for pickup — this is optional.
- Check-out
- Leave it as you found it: empty the fridge, collect all trash and put it in the trash bin, collect all used towels and put them by the washer, turn off the lights, lock all doors and windows, and text us when you leave.
